Marianne Lee Obituary

Marianne Catherine Lee

Marianne Catherine Lee, 81, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully Monday, April 21, 2025, at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.

Born August 9, 1943, in Fremont, Marianne was the daughter of Donald and Ann (Walby) Sherman. She married the love of her life, Robert J. Lee, June 12, 1965, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, love, and family.

Marianne is survived by her devoted husband, Robert J. Lee of Tiffin; her daughter, Christine M. (Matthew) Villenauve of Hudson; and her cherished grandchildren, Abigail (William Conroy) Villenauve, Samantha Villenauve, and Burke Villenauve.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Robert James II.

A proud graduate of Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic High School, Class of 1961, Marianne went on to earn her nursing degree from Mercy School of Nursing. She dedicated over 40 years to caring for others as a surgical nurse at Tiffin Mercy Hospital, where she retired in 2008. Even after retirement, her commitment to service continued through volunteering at the hospital she loved.

Marianne was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin. She found joy in simple pleasures-spending time at the lake, boating with friends, and exploring the Islands. Her warmth, kindness, and steady presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes before Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Marianne's memory to Calvert Catholic Schools.
