Marjorie Frankart Obituary
Marjorie Ann Huffman Frankart, 83, of New Market, Virginia, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, at her home.
She was born April 20, 1941, in Ohio, and was a daughter of Eugene Halden and Doris Marie Palmer Huffman.
Marjorie was a housewife. She attended Calvert Catholic School in Tiffin until the eighth-grade. She and her sister, Marilyn, then joined Our Lady at the Pines Catholic Convent in Fremont until she was 18. Margie and her husband owned and operated Frankart's Lawn and Garden Shop in Attica before moving to Virginia.
She married Ivan "Tubby" Nicholas Frankart on Sept. 5, 1959, and he preceded her in death Nov. 9, 2007.
Marjorie is survived by four daughters, Connie Shoemaker and husband Mike of New Market, Ellie Nesselrodt of Mt. Jackson, Helen Smith and husband Jim of Broadway, and Loretta Morris and husband Wayne of Grottoes; son-in-law, Steve Haver of Monroeville; brother, Patrick Huffman and wife Sharon of Tiffin; sister, Kathi Gifford and husband Hank of Tiffin; six sisters-in-law, Sarah Wurm of Attica, Lois Frankart of Bloomville, Carolyn Huffman of Tiffin, Becky Frankart of Bloomville, Karen Frankart of Tiffin, and Dee Huffman of Tiffin; two brothers-in-law, Gene Frankart and wife Carol of Attica and Richard Rau of Bridgewater; special niece, Carol Huffman of Chicago, Illinois; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Betty Haver; grandson, Danny Haver; brothers, Jack, Jimmy, Jerry, Mike, and Danny Huffman; and sisters, Marilyn Zoeller and Mary Lou Rau.
Father David Comeau will conduct Marjorie's funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at Grandle Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway, Virginia. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Visitation for family and friends will be 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Market Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 245, New Market, Virginia, 22844.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
