Marjorie A. Granata

Marjorie A. "Marge" Granata, 90, of Tiffin, died at 4:20 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2025, at Elmwood at The Shawhan in Tiffin. She was born May 3, 1935, in Tiffin, to Carl and Mary (Lofay) Kirchner. She married Anthony J. "Nini" Granata, June 18, 1955, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and he died January 29, 2015.

Survivors include a son, Stephen (Tammy) Granata of Dayton; a daughter, Lisa (Michael) McQueeney of Dubuque, Iowa; five grandchildren, Lindsey Lambert, Jonathan (Chelsea) Granata, Paige McQueeney, Lauren (Seth) Farber, and Ian McQueeney; and five great-grandchildren, Carter, Connor, Owen, Theodore, and Asa.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Joseph Kirchner; and three sisters, Anna Ball, Gladys Kirchner, and Joan Hartman.

She was a 1953 Calvert High School graduate and retired in 1979 after 24 years at Ohio Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and volunteered at Mercy Hospital and Autumnwood Care Center. She greatly loved her Elmwood Family.

Visitation for family and friends will be 3-5 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883. (419) 447-3113.

Prayers will be said at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2025, at the funeral home, followed by Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. The rosary will be recited 30 minutes prior to Mass at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
