Marjorie Elizabeth Kinn

Marjorie Elizabeth Kinn passed peacefully on to her heavenly home Monday, April 3, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Nov. 5, 1938, in Tiffin, to Frank and Helen (Stewart) Wetzel. She married Eugene "Gene" R. Kinn on May 21, 1960, at St. Boniface (now All Saints) Catholic Church, New Riegel, and he survives.

Marjorie is also survived by a daughter, Christine E. (James) O'Donnell of Put-In-Bay; sons, Stephen E. (Laurie) Kinn of Alvada and Brian A. (Jennifer) Kinn of Delray Beach, Florida; four grandsons, Christopher J. O'Donnell, Colin M. O'Donnell, Dr. Ryan S. (Laura) Kinn. and Joshua A. (Sophia) Kinn; three sisters, Eloise (Joseph) Granata and Dorothy (Joseph) Schock, both of Tiffin, and Catherine (Ed) Ruef of Pickerington; brother, John (Jane) Wetzel of New Riegel; brother-in-law, Larry (Joan) Kinn of Fernandino Beach, Florida; sister-in-law, Audrey (Harold) Logsdon of Findlay; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was a graduate of New Riegel High School and Sienna Heights University, Adrian, Michigan. During her lifetime, she was employed in accounting at Ohio Power Co., Countrymark, Inc., Tri-County Broadcasting, and Independence House, from where she retired.

She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church where she was a former Eucharistic Minister and choir member. She served on the St. Wendelin Schools Advisory Commission, volunteered for several years for St. Wendelin T.R.I.P program, co-chaired the "Collectors' Corner" festival booth for many years, and served on the funeral lunch committee. She served as a volunteer for Fostoria ProMedica Community Hospital, Good Shepherd Home, Independence House, and Fostoria Sharing Kitchen, and was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary. She served for many years as Memorials Chairman for Seneca County Heart Association and served a term on the board of Seneca County Commission on Aging. She was a former member of Fostoria Framework Progress Improved Housing Committee and Fostoria Literacy Council.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, movies, and meeting friends and siblings for lunch. Music was an important part of her life as she played the violin in her earlier years and sang in the St. Wendelin parish choir for many years. She loved Sunday get-togethers with her family and the many trips they took as a family. She was an avid prayer warrior and very caring person who did many good deeds for others.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church under the direction of Hoening & Son Funeral Home with the Very Reverend Joseph Poggemeyer, Reverend James Peiffer, and Deacon James O'Donnell officiating. Burial will follow at St. Wendelin Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Hoening & Son Funeral Home, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830, where a Vigil will be at 7:30 p.m.
