Marjorie Koerper Obituary
Marjorie Louise Koerper, 95, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday evening, Feb. 21, 2023, at Elmwood Assisted Living of Fremont.
She was born Aug. 15, 1927, in Tiffin, to Blacque C. and Pearl L. (Shuff) Hoffman. She married Bernard "Bud" Koerper on Nov. 24, 1949, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom, and he preceded her in death July 2, 1991.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Carol) Koerper of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Robert (Cathy) Koerper of Tiffin; daughters, Jane (Larry) Cook of Tiffin and Teresa (Dale) Kramer of Findlay; sister, Alice Lonsway of Findlay; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Joseph Koerper; brothers, Eugene Hoffman and Paul Hoffman; and sisters, Carol Kuhlman and Mary Ann Eberly.
Marjorie was a 1945 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School. She was a therapeutic program worker at Tiffin Developmental Center for 20 years and retired in 1992. She was an active and devout member of St. Mary Catholic Church, member of St. Mary Rosary Altar Society, was on the funeral luncheon committee, and volunteered her time at St. Francis Home, where she was also a member of St. Francis Auxiliary. Marjorie was a social butterfly, enjoyed meeting people, was compassionate toward others, and loved spending time with her family. Marjorie was a fantastic cook, baker, candy maker, and her dinner table was always open. She was an accomplished violinist and played the drums in area bands and enjoyed traveling and history.
Funeral Mass will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Calvert Catholic Schools, or charity of the donor's choice.
