Martha "Marti" Martinez

Martha "Marti" Martinez, 75, of Tiffin, formerly of Fostoria, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at her home.

She was born on October 28, 1950 in Fostoria to the late Benny and Ester (Anez) Martinez.

Surviving is a son, Anthony Bernal, Texas; five grandchildren; siblings, Emma (Max) Mendoza, Estella Martinez, Eleanor "Mona" (the late Jimmy) Parker, and Ben (Fiancé Connie Curtis) Martinez Jr., all of Fostoria; and in-laws, Chris (Barb) Hossler, Todd (May-Dong Mei Gao), and Terri (James) Davis; and best friend, Diana Platt; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Miguel Bernal; a brother, Michael "Moose" Martinez, a nephew, Matthew Parker; her companion of 30 years, Scott L. Hossler; and a step-son, Scott "Scottie" LeRoy Hossler Jr.

Marti was a caretaker for the elderly working in home health care. She was an avid Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns an Ohio State Buckeye fan. She was also a member of the Browns Backers and enjoyed attending garage sales and spending time with her family and friends.

Visitation is 1-3 & 5-7 on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830. The funeral service is 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Hatfield presiding. Burial will follow at St. Wendelin Cemetery. Following the burial there will be a luncheon potluck at Weber Hall located at 11690 W. Township Road 41, Fostoria, Ohio 44830 (Stoner Road).
