Mary Rueb Obituary

Mary E. "Betsy" Rueb

Mary E. "Betsy" Rueb, 87, of Columbus, passed away Monday, Nov. 20, 2023.

Betsy was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Tiffin, to Melvin and Elizabeth (Royer) Vogt. She was a graduate of Columbian High School, attended Ohio State University, and graduated from Marion General Hospital. Betsy was a member of Hannah Neil Sustainability Board I, Buckeye Boys Ranch – Bound III, Ohio Republican Party, and Columbus Foundation.

She is survived by three nieces, Mary Christine Jacob, Elizabeth J. Smith, and Rachel Niswander; and four great-nephews.

Betsy was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Floyd Rueb; brothers, the Rev Canon Charles "Chad" Vogt (Jeanne) and Richard (Dorothy) Vogt; niece, Anna Elizabeth Vogt; and nephew, Chad Kenyen Vogt.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, until the time of Betsy's memorial service at 2 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43221.

In lieu of flowers, Betsy would like contributions to be made to Hannah Neil Center for Children, 301 Obetz Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43207.
