Hello, survivers of Sr. Laurene! I am just now hearing of her death after some research when my Christmas card to her was returned. She was a childhood friend of my mom, Eulalia L Nieset Foos Grady. Although I don't remember actually meeting her until 2013 when mom and my brother and I visited her on Melmore St, I can remember mom talking about her often. Then my husband and I visited her again in 2021 in her apartment #333W.
Sr. Laurene was a very sweet lady and I can see how she and mom were such good friends! I am the lucky recipient of a needle craft name that is framed and hanging on my wall. Mom passed in 2015, and I know that she and Sr are having a blast in heaven catching up!! God's blessings to you all!

Sister Laurene was a very warm and inviting presence across the street from St Francis de Sales Parish. I have some fond memories from the time when we ministered together with retirees at Madonna Homes.
I pray the Good Shepherd will carry this little lamb home to be with the flock in Heaven
peace and blessings
