Matthew Jones age 48 of Falls Church, VA died unexpectedly Oct. 18, 2022. He was born Aug. 27, 1974 in Virginia the son of John (a Dixon native) and Dorothy (McLendon) Jones. He was a graduate of George Mason University. He was employed by Young's Health Care and the John Chung Tae Kwan Do. Matt was preceded in death by his parents John and Dorothy, uncle Patrick Jones Sr and aunt Cecilia Jordan. Matt is survived by aunts and uncles, Glenda McLendon Catledge-Grant, Sarah McLendon Bell, Luther McLendon Jr. Linda Jones, Robert Jordan, David (Connie) Jones, Nancy (Antone) Eppolito, Mary (Stan) Harrison, Eleanor (Thomas) Pendergast and many cousins. A funeral mass for Matt will be held on Monday July 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemtery in Dixon. Visitation will be on Sunday July 14, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon.
