Michael Vanhoose Obituary

Michael David Vanhoose Sr.

Michael David VanHoose Sr., 68, of Fostoria, passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, at Toledo Hospital.

He was born Nov. 17, 1955, in Williamson, West Virginia, to Robert and Jessie (Thompson) VanHoose Sr. He married Mary Hinkle on March 17, 1984, in Findlay.

He is survived by his wife, Mary VanHoose of Fostoria; son, Michael (Alex Reisner) VanHoose Jr. of Findlay; daughters, Melinda (Carlos) Bermudes and Michele (Jeffery Sands) VanHoose, both of Fostoria; sisters, Shawna Haynes and Melissa (Wesley) Stahl, both of Fostoria, and Wanda Patterson of Kentucky; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Michael worked in maintenance at Teijin Automotive Technology in Carey. He attended Fostoria High School and was an U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of U.A.W. and was a jack of all trades. He loved camping, concerts and was a NASCAR, Cincinnati Bengals, and Ohio State fan. He also loved time spent with his family and grandkids.

Michael's celebration of life will be 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at Stacy's Place, 625 Plaza Dr., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830, with military honors performed at 3 p.m. by Fostoria United Veterans.

Memorials can be made to charity of the donor's choice.
