Michelle Burdette Obituary
Michelle T. Burdette, 72, of Green Springs, passed away after her three-year battle with cancer Saturday, April 29, 2023, at The Willows at Bellevue.
She was born June 6, 1950, at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Greene County, Ohio. Shelly was a 1969 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.
Shelly married Carl Burdette on Nov. 21, 1969, and he preceded her in death Feb. 9, 2005. She was the rural mail carrier for United States Postal Services in Green Springs for over 25 years. Shelly and her husband owned and operated Karaoke With Shelly for many years. She enjoyed collecting knick-knacks, traveling to Florida for the winters, shopping, karaoke, and wearing jewelry. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Shelly was a kind and brave woman. She was loved by everyone who met her.
Shelly is survived by her son, Jesse (Tessy) Burdette of Springfield, Ohio; grandson, Chandhu Burdette; brother, James L. (Anna) Eden of Virginia; niece, Stacey (Kevin) Mowry; and nephews, Jeff and Lee Eden.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" and Mildred (Carter) Titsworth; father, James I. Eden; brother, Michael Eden; and sister-in-law, Harryette Eden.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 211 N. Broadway St., Green Springs, Ohio, 44836.
Michelle's services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the service at Butternut Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Shelly's honor to Stein Hospice or American Cancer Society.
