Mildred Evelyn Hall

Mildred Evelyn (Wagner) Hall, 97, of Arlington, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at her daughter's home in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

Mildred was born Feb. 4, 1925, in Tiffin, the daughter of the late Howard and Catherine (Scott) Wagner, and the loving wife of the late Dr. Carl W. Hall.

After graduating from Melmore High School in 1943, Mildred earned a degree in History at Heidelberg College, Tiffin. After their marriage in 1949, Carl and Mildred lived in the states of Delaware, Michigan, Washington, and finally, northern Virginia. They traveled all over the world together for Carl's work with their daughter, Claudia, in tow from the time she was five years old until high school. They developed many wonderful friendships ranging from neighbors to colleagues which they nurtured over a lifetime.

During her time at home, Mildred enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, walking, and cleaning. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Mildred is survived by her loving daughter, Claudia Genuardi; three grandchildren, Kali (Robert) Hinkle, Steven (Mollie) Genuardi, and Emily (Erik) Bjorhus; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Shirley) Wagner; sister-in-law, Velma (the late Dale) Stacy; and 17 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, Mildred was preceded in death by three of her four younger brothers, William, Grant, and James Wagner.

Mildred's funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heidelberg University.
