Nancy Schindler Obituary

Nancy Kay Schindler

Nancy Schindler, 84, of Fremont and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at ProMedica Bay Park Hospital in Oregon, Ohio.

Nancy was born June 27, 1939, in Tiffin, to Vernus and Erma (Manecke) Smith. She married Robert Schindler on Sept. 1, 1955, and he preceded her in death.

Nancy's survivors include her son, Robert (Dana) Schindler of Charlotte, North Carolina; daughters, Andrea (Donald) Sartin of Fremont and Krista (Jay) Nordholt of Aurora; brother, Gary (Barb) Smith of Tiffin; sister, Linda Setescak of New Jersey; brother-in-law, Larry Miller; grandchildren, James, Jason, Don Jr., Michael, Shelby, Jeremiah, and Jack; and five great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Denise Miller.

Nancy was a graduate of Calvert High School and member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin. She worked as a radiologist at Dr. Hoffman, Birmingham & Associates. Nancy was an avid swimmer and enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and decorating, especially for weddings. She loved animals and spending time with her family.

Visitation for friends and family will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883. Private burial will be at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot County Humane Society, 9640 County Hwy 330, Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
