Nelson Carn Obituary
Nelson H. Carn, 89, of Bloomville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
He was born Aug. 30, 1934, in Tiffin, to David and Mildred (Koons) Carn. Nelson married Nancy L. Simon on March 25, 1956, in Findlay, and she preceded him in death March 6, 2012.
Nelson's survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Cartwright of Tiffin and Julie Carn of Bloomville; two grandsons, James (Vanessa) Shumway of Fairborn and Matthew (Jacey) Lamma of Tiffin; two great-grandchildren, Brionna and Ethan; sister, Dorothy Perkins of Willowick; and close friend, Marlene Matthews of Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers, Cloyce, James, Clate, and Robert; and two sisters, Priscilla Stopplbton and Alice Bartlebaugh.
Nelson was a farmer and tool and die maker by trade. He worked at Eaton Manufacturing in Fremont and retired from Atlas Industries, Tiffin. His main hobby was farming and taking drives down to Amish country to see the countryside.
Visitation for family and friends will be 12-12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, Bloomville. Private family graveside services will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Tiffin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.

We were so sorry to hear of Nelson´s passing. He was always there to help his neighbor and our mother, Connie. She would tell us, "I´m gonna call Nelson to help me." And he did, always. We enjoyed seeing him when we came to back to visit Connie and he will always have a special place in our hearts. Our prayers are with you, Julie, and all of his family.

Julie and Cheryl my sincere condolences on the loss of your Dad..I loved being his neighbor for 11 years.
He was funny , helpful, always willing to help if I needed it.
