Noble Jones

Noble Jones, 87, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, Aug. 14, 2022, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin, shortly after being placed on Hospice care.

Noble was born Aug. 1, 1935, in Whitley City, Kentucky, to Rufus and Eva (Perkins) Jones. He married Inez Ferguson and together they had three children and later divorced.

Survivors include a daughter, Renee (Tim) Bernal of Bloomville; brothers, Paul (Ruth) Jones of Republic, and Robert and Porter Jones, both of Kentucky; grandchildren, Shyleigh Jones, Brennan Jones, Julia Sherwood, Ryland Grooms, Andrew Bernal, and Dylan Bernal; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Jones; daughter, Deb Grooms; and sister, Bertha Ross.

Noble worked at Tiffin Glass house for years until they closed. He retired from Pinkerton Security Service working at American Standard for years. He enjoyed going on car rides and telling stories of his time at the Glass House. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Friends may visit and share stories 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be no service or burial.
