Norbert J. "Junie" Kinn Jr.

Norbert. J. "Junie" Kinn Jr., 96, of New Riegel, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025, at his residence.

He was born December 3, 1929, in Alvada, to the late Norbert and Matilda (Wonderly) Kinn. He married Helen Jean "Jeanie" Haubert, October 16, 1954, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Frenchtown, and she survives in New Riegel. They were happily married for 71 years and always together.

Also surviving are four children, Mary Jane (Dave) Bouillon, New Riegel, Ruth A. Kinn, New Riegel, Denny Kinn, Alvada, and David (fiancee Sheri) Kinn, New Riegel; grandchildren, Chad (Erika) Bouillon, Shannon (Eric) Widman, Eric (Heidi) Bouillon, Brandon (Kelly) Bouillon, Jason (Jami) Bouillon, Christi (Mark) Hoover, Tim (Kendra) Kinn, Danielle "Dani" Kinn, and Michelle (Brian) Kline; many great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother, Jim Kinn, Alvada; a sister, Rita (Mike) Hark, Elida; and a sister-in-law, Mary "Booty" Collet, Adrian.

He was also preceded in death by an infant son and siblings, Herman Kinn, Dale Kinn and Patricia Vaughn.

Junie was a lifelong farmer in Seneca County. He worked at Huth Construction as a heavy equipment operator for 21 years and at Seneca County Highway Department for 19 years. He was a member of All Saints Parish in New Riegel and the former St. Peter Chapel in Alvada. Junie loved his faith, family and farming and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thanks to Dr. Mark Akers, Dr. Matt Akers and Heartland Hospice for their special care.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at All Saints Parish in New Riegel with the Rev. Timothy Kummerer presiding. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery in Alvada. Following burial, there will be a luncheon at New Riegel American Legion.

Memorial contribu-tions are suggested to NBS Joint Fire District & EMS, New Riegel Right to Life or for Masses, all in care of the funeral home.
