Patricia Britton Obituary
Patricia Ann (Tanner) Britton, 80, of Carey, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital.
Patricia was born Dec. 10, 1944, in Carey to the late Ralph and Edna (Linthicum) Tanner. Patricia is survived by her son, Scott (Jenny) Britton of Upper Sandusky; grandchildren, Dylan (Tracey) Britton of Upper Sandusky and Macy (Dan) Leader of Carey; great-grandchildren, Bently Britton, Jace Britton, Walker Britton, Brooklynn Leader, Tucker Leader and Jax Leader; brothers, Richard (Vicki) Tanner and Donald (Pat) Tanner.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Britton; and her former husband, James Britton.
Patricia was a 1962 graduate of Carey High School and a 1965 graduate of Grant Hospital School of Nursing. Patricia worked as a Registered Nurse in the OB Department at Wyandot Memorial Hospital for over 30 years and helped deliver many Wyandot County babies. Patricia was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Carey and Red Hats Society. Patricia enjoyed working in her flower beds, raising her tulips, and spending time with her friends. She was an independent, loving and caring individual who would help anyone in need. Family was the most important part of her life. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren on vacations and will be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Visitation for Patricia will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of her celebration of life service at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Loran Miracle officiating. Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's honor to Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehab or Wyandot Memorial Hospital.
