Patricia Stover Obituary

Patricia Ann (Dunlap) Stover

Patricia Ann (Dunlap) Stover, 72, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at her home in Frostproof, Florida, with her husband, Neil, by her side.

Pat was born Aug. 23, 1950, in Tiffin, to William and Naida Dunlap. She grew up in Sycamore where she graduated from Mohawk High School in 1970. She went on to cosmetology school and became a cosmetologist. She also worked on the family farm and at Leslie High School as a bus driver and lead custodian, from where she retired.

Pat married Neil Stover of Sycamore in 1973.

Pat is survived by a daughter from a previous marriage, Rhonda Maskey and Neil's daughter, Johanna Toler. They grew their family by two children, Roxanna Stover-Bitner and JR Stover. In 1978, they moved their family to the farm in Leslie, Michigan, where they lived and farmed until Oct., 2021. They then moved to their current home in Frostproof, Florida.

Pat is survived by her husband of 49 years, Neil; children, Johanna (Tomas) Toler, Rhonda Maskey (Swan, Spieth), Roxanna (Randy) Bitner, and J.R. (Deanna) Stover; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, William H. Dunlap and Alfred S. Dunlap.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steve Dunlap; and granddaughter, Vanessa Spieth.

Pat was an animal lover her entire life. She bred, raised, and showed Arabian horses and bred Great Danes. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Pat did not want a funeral. She didn't want people to fuss over her, but to enjoy their memories.
