It is with heavy hearts that we celebrate the life of Ramiro Cruz, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. Ramiro was born in Brownsville, Texas, and in his early years, he worked as a migrant worker, traveling across many states, including Ohio, North Carolina, Indiana, and Texas. In 1969, his journey led him to Florida, where he built a life filled with love, hard work, and dedication to his family.
In 1980, Ramiro married the love of his life, Maria Cruz, and together they created a beautiful family. A hardworking man, he was an owner-operator of Ramiro Cruz Trucking for over 30 years, providing services to major establishments such as Disney World, Universal Studios, and the Kennedy Space Center. Beyond his work, Ramiro found joy in simple pleasures. He enjoyed cooking out, hosting fish fries, working on his trucks, and visiting loved ones in South Texas. He was a man of great integrity, generosity, and charisma, always wearing a big smile and sharing his infectious sense of humor. As a protector of his family, he provided love, wisdom, and unwavering support.
Ramiro Cruz is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Cruz; his cherished son, Gerardo Cruz; his brothers, Manuel (Maria) Cruz, Rafael (Laura) Cruz, and Miguel Cruz; and his sisters, Yolanda (Eliseo) Ramirez and Maria Elena Cruz Barajas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Damian Cruz and Cipriana Cruz; his brother Juan Cruz; and his sister Carmela Carrion. Though he has left this world, his legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025, 10am, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 4pm until 8pm at Becker Funeral Home.
