Reuben Hernandez

Reuben Hernandez, 62, of Ft Lauderdale, Florida, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Reuben was born June 30, 1961, in Fostoria, to Raul Hernandez Sr. and Adelina (Martinez) Wilmoth. He went to school at St. Wendelin High School, Fostoria He graduated from a local university with a bachelor's degree. He was a huge Ohio State football fan. He worked as a Pacemaker Technician for Cleveland Clinic for the last seven years of his life and was also involved in volunteering for Poverello Food Bank in his local community.

Reuben is survived by his mother, Adelina (Martinez) Wilmoth; six siblings, Raul (Carol) Hernandez Jr., Rudy (Karry) Hernandez, Randy Hernandez, Valerie (James) Nye Jr., Tracy (Russell) Walker, and Tricia Hernandez; 17 adoring nieces and nephews; and 37 fun-loving great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raul Hernandez Sr.; paternal grandparents, Luciano and Manuela Hernandez; and maternal grandparents, Heriberto and Eliza Martinez.

Reuben's urn burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at St. Wendelin Cemetery, Fostoria. A dinner will follow from 2-5 p.m. Saturday at Fostoria Eagles.

Memorial donations may be given in Reuben's name to Poverello Center- Eat Well Food Bank, 2056 N. Dixie Hwy., Wilton Manors, Florida, 33305, or online at https://poverello.org/.
