Richard M. "Dick" Dull

Richard M. "Dick" Dull, 90, of Tiffin, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, July 13, 2025, at his home.

On March 12, 1935, in Tiffin, he was born to Melvin and Dorothy (Malone) Dull. He married Carol Kuhn February 7, 1959, and she survives.

Also surviving are his children, Lisa (Mark) Blackburn, Cheryl (Scott) Larson, Brian Dull and Chris Dull, all of Tiffin; sisters, Betty Francis and Kathy "Sis" Wise, both of Tiffin; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his cat, Taco; and his three dogs, Zoe, Coco and Brownie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steve Dull; brother, Jerry "Skeeter" Dull; an infant sister, Donna Dull; sister, Pat Keller; and a great-granddaughter, Maliyah Young.

Dick was a 1954 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960. He retired from Basic Refractories after 25 years and owned and operated Dull's Muffler Shop on Miami Street, which his father had started. He later retired at 80 years old. He was an Ohio State Buckeye, NASCAR and an Earnhardt fan. He also enjoyed hunting in his early years, fishing, and old cars. Dick frequented Frisch's and McDonald's, having breakfast and a cup of coffee with the guys. Dick and Carol traveled the world and loved family get togethers at the cottage over the years. He was a quiet man but loved to tease.

Friends may visit from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2025, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. His funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery.
