Richard Greene Obituary

Richard Greene, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, at the age of 74. He is survived by his beloved sister, Lynn Greene; adored nieces Melissa (Luke) Torretti and Stacy Bensky; and cherished great niece and nephew Sylas Torretti and Cassidy Torretti. He was predeceased by his dear parents, Jeanette and Benjamin Goldstein, and Charlotte and Donald Greene.

Richard was a devoted sports fan who could talk about nearly any game, but the Baltimore Orioles held a special place in his heart. Beyond his love of sports, his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family. He shared a close bond with his sister and treasured his role as an uncle, cherishing every moment with his nieces and with his great-niece and great-nephew.

Richard also had a deep love of music, especially classic rock and bluegrass. In his heyday, he attended countless concerts and always seemed to know which bands and artists were coming through town. He loved festivals and was often out and about, enjoying everything the community had to offer. He was also passionate about horse racing and spent many happy days at the racetrack, visiting Pimlico often but traveling to tracks all over to enjoy the sport he loved.

Services at Sol Levinson's Parlor, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD on Friday, September 12th at 2:00 PM. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Baltimore Humane Society, 1601 Nicodemus Rd, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
