Richard Hosang Obituary
Richard J. "Dick" Hosang, 76, of Attica, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at his home.
He was born March 21, 1947, in Bellevue, to Arthur and Helen B. (Dick) Hosang. In 1965, Dick graduated from Attica High School. He honorably served our country in U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Dick enjoyed his time spent farming and also worked for France Stone, now Hanson Aggregates. In his spare time, Dick enjoyed working in the shop, building and repairing all sorts of things. His most treasured time was spent with his family, especially his granddaughters.
He married Kathleen "Kate" (Shaver) on Nov. 27, 1971, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tiffin, and she survives in Attica. Dick is also survived by their daughters, Kelly Hosang of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Megan (Robert) Zito of Dunedin, Florida; granddaughters, Isabelle, Layla, and Alia; and siblings, Judy (Robert) Swartzmiller of Bellevue, John (Eileen) Hosang of Tiffin, and Paul (Cathy) Hosang of Attica.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Thomas Hosang.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, at St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church, 16209 County Road 46, Bellevue, with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Military honors will follow and be provided by Bellevue VFW, American Legion, and Four County Marine Corps League.
In lieu of flowers and memorial gifts, the family asks donations be made to St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church.
