Richard Arlen Kieffer

Richard Arlen Kieffer, 94, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday morning, May 2, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born Feb. 5, 1929, in Tiffin, to Raymond and Naomi (Tune) Kieffer. He married Jeanne M. Bour on July 11, 1952, and she preceded him in death Jan. 8, 2018.

Richard's survivors include his son, Michael Kieffer of Tiffin; daughter, Julie (Larry) Haferd of Carey; five grandchildren, Jason Haferd, Nathan (Haley) Haferd, Joshua Haferd, Michelle (Jason) Brandt, and Clinton (Nathalia) Kieffer; and two great-grandchildren, Jayda Brandt and Maddox Brandt.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Kieffer; and sisters, Virginia Creeger, Phyllis Kieffer, Mary Fisher, and Ethel Warner.

Richard was a 1948 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and served as Sergeant First Class in U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at Lee's Floor Coverings for 20 years and was a carpenter for Zeis Builders, retiring after 15 years. Richard enjoyed wintering in Cape Coral, Florida, for 15 years, gardening, fishing, and boating on Lake Erie.

There will not be any services at this time.
