Richard Pope Obituary
Richard R. Pope, 71, of Fostoria, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Fostoria. He was born December 14, 1954, in Columbus, to David and Susan (Burrier) Pope. He married Patricia A. Dillon, December 23, 1972, in Fostoria, and she passed away November 16, 2023.
He is survived by his father David (Carol) Pope of Fremont; children Crystal (Maco) Gonzalez of Fostoria, James Pope of Georgia, Daniel (Felicia) Pope of Fostoria, and Nikki (Jon) Brown of Fostoria; brother, Robert Pope of Florida; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Brown, Cordero, Jordan and Xavier Diaz, Ethan Myers, RJ Ferdin, Joshua Sheets, Alivia and Matthew Pope, Braedon Marley, Ian and Allison Brown; and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded by his mother, Susan Burrier; wife; brother, David Pope; and sister, Carolyn Sue Pope.
Richard retired from the Lima Tank Plant.
Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Mark Self officiating. Burial will be private at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Parkinson's or Alzheimer's Foundation.
