Robert Brause Obituary
Robert Wayland Brause, 93, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, at Lima Convalescent Home.
Bob was born Feb. 6, 1929, in Bloomville, to Raymond J. and Enid Velma (Hall) Brause. He married Shirley Jean (Maynard) Brause on May 16, 1959, and she survives in Lima.
Robert was a 1955 graduate of Heidelberg College. Robert worked for Teledyne McKay, International Tank, and AGA Gas Inc. as a sales rep., selling industrial gases and welding supplies. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, BPO Elks #54, Lima Masonic Lodge #205 F & AM, American Welding Society, and Society Manufacturing Engineers. Robert served in U.S. Air Force and Ohio Air National Guard from Aug. 28, 1950, until Aug. 28, 1958. He enjoyed golf, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Cleveland teams. He was also a volunteer at St. Ritas Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; and daughter, Cathy J (Philip) Dollimore.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. Robert's funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. John Foster will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Medical Center or Trinity United Methodist Church or the donor's choice.
Arrangements are being handled by Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

To The Brause Family,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of Mr. Brause.
I am so sorry.
Mr. Brause was a wonderful man. He always took the time to talk with you, and ask how you were doing. His caring and kindness touched everyone he met. He will be missed, but will always be fondly remembered.
It was an honor to have known him.
