Robert Dendinger Obituary
Robert F. Dendinger, 79, of Bellevue, passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, at The Bellevue Hospital.
He was born March 25, 1943, in Reed Township, the son of Clarence and Loretta (Schank) Dendinger.
Robert attended Attica High School and enlisted in U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He worked as a millwright for Bellevue Manufacture and later for Delphi, where he would retire. Robert was a member of St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus and VFW Post 1238. He loved cars, especially his '64 Chevy, and watching NASCAR and attending the races at Summit Motorsports Park. At home, he loved to be outside and could be seen sitting watching the birds when he wasn't make sure his lawn was perfectly manicured.
He married Josephine (Stallkamp) on Oct. 5, 1963, at St. Joseph's Church, Monroeville. She survives along with their two children, Kevin (Taylor) Dendinger of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and Kathy (Brian) Kistler of Tiffin; five grandchildren, Theo, Coralai, Ella, Evan, and Eden; several brothers and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bandit.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Marlene Dendinger.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at Our Lady of Hope, 320 Stump Pike Road, Attica. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
