Robert Frederick Obituary
Robert A. "Bob" Frederick, 85, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed away Friday morning, March 22, 2024.
Bob was born Jan. 19, 1939, in Tiffin, the son of Charles Leslie and Anna Marie (Reinhart) Frederick. Bob married Rose Colgate on Feb. 23, 1957, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tiffin.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rose Frederick of Greenfield, Indiana; two daughters, Patricia Boyd of Washington, D.C., and Elaine (husband Mickey) Bump of Martinsville, Indiana; grandchildren, Kenneth (wife Kelly) Scott of Greenfield, Indiana, Keith (wife Alexandra) Scott of McCordsville, Indiana, and Mary Jane Boyd; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Mike, Logan, Myles, and Henry; great-great-grandchildren, Autumn, Vincent, and Victor; and two sisters, Donna (husband John) McDermott and their family and Evone Curry and her family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob grew up in Tiffin. He graduated from Calvert High School in 1956. After high school, he attended Heidelburg College for a year and as well as married Rose. Bob and Rose moved to Indiana in 1963 and in the mid-70s, he started his own business. He retired in 2003. After retirement, Bob and Rose enjoyed traveling the United States. Over the years, he enjoyed many things including music, ham radio, sail boats, kayaking and canoeing, bird watching, camping, and photographing nature. He was an avid outdoorsman.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Bob's life will be 2-5 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Geist Funeral Center, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46236.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Wheeler Mission.
