Robert J. "Bob" Gruss

Robert J. "Bob" "Grussy" Gruss, 65, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, at his home.

He was born April 13, 1957, in Tiffin, to Harold E. and Ruth (Goshe) Gruss.

Bob's survivors include his son, Matthew Gruss of Fremont; daughter, Angela (Isaac) Allison of Cleveland; brother, Dennis (Beth) Gruss of Tiffin; and two grandsons, Isaiah and Dean.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob was a 1975 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School. He was an inspector for National Machinery for 42 years and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin Eagles 402, and Knights of Columbus 608. Bob was an avid Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and University of Michigan fan. He enjoyed working in his garden, doing yard work, attending Calvert games, spending time with friends, and was a faithful employee. Bob loved being a grandpa and called himself "Bobba."

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424.
