Robert Mathias Obituary
Robert Ellsworth Mathias, 75, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at his residence.
Robert was born November 3, 1950, in Tiffin, to Louis F. and Buelah C. (Lee) Mathias Sr. He married Lois (Kerschner) July 25, 1980, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin, and she preceded him in death February 4, 2023.
Survivors include his two brothers, Joseph Mathias and John Mathias and two sisters, Donna Pryor and Carol Scherger, all of Tiffin.
Robert worked in many different restaurants in the Tiffin area. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tiffin Moose Lodge, a 1971 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School, and a volunteer at Autumnwood Care Center.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, Richard Hartzell, Louis Mathias Jr., and Howard Mathias; and two sisters, Julia Bish and Barbara Roberts.
Graveside services for Robert will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2026, at Seneca Memory Gardens. Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting family with arrangements.
Memorial contribu-tions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church.
