Robert W. "Bob" Meyer

Robert W. "Bob" Meyer, 83, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at The Landings of Westerville.

He was born Jan. 29, 1939, in Tiffin, to Walter and Glenna (Shafer) Meyer. He married Janet S. Cole on Aug. 16, 1959, at First Lutheran Church.

Bob's survivors include his wife, Janet Meyer; children, Rene'e Meyer of Strasbourg, France, Renata (Steve) Snyder of Westerville, Rebecca (David) Myers of Maumee, Matthew (Carol) Meyer of Findlay, and Martin Meyer of Tiffin; grandchildren, Antoine, Benjamin (Lindsay), Jacob (Aimee), Jordan, Carmen, Cole (Chloe), Parker, Lauren, Calvin, Mitchell, Margaret, Isabella, Elise, and McClain; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Sophia, Sawyer, Cameron, and Emeric; and brother, Gerald (Jo Anne) Meyer of Lakeside Marblehead.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob was a 1957 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and 1961 graduate of Toledo College of Pharmacy. He was a registered pharmacist in Ohio, was President of Meyer Drug Store, Inc. and Meyers & Co., Inc., and served as President of Drug Wholesalers Association. He retired as vice-president of Amerisource Bergen Corp.

Bob served as member and president of Tiffin City Board of Education, Ritz Foundation, and was a Heidelberg Trustee. He was an active member of First Lutheran Church, having served in a number of capacities. One of Bob's greatest satisfactions was serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Seneca and Sandusky Counties advocating for the best interest of children/youth in the Juvenile Court.

Bob loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Bob's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Clayton Bailey officiating. Burial will be private at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family 4-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424.
