Robert Stearns Obituary
Robert Duane Stearns, 77, of Fostoria, passed away at 8:40pm Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at his home.
He was born November 25, 1946 in Wayne to the late Albert and Ruth (Yates) Stearns.
Surviving is a son, Christopher Stearns, Gibsonburg; daughter, Kimberly E. (Jason) Belden, Wayne; grandchildren, Monica, Megan and Morgan; great-grandchildren, Theodore and Jillian; brothers, Richard (Michelle) Stearns, Bucyrus and Thomas (Nancy) Stearns, Arlington; and sisters, Mary (Tim) Wiseman, Findlay and Vicki (Tony) Grieco, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his life partner, Nancy Marker; brother, James Stearns; and sister, Sharon Langford.
Bob was a millwright, having worked at the Basic, Inc., Bettsville and Harvard Industries, Tiffin. He was a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam and a former member of the Toastmasters.
Visitation is Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 2-4 pm at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830.
Funeral service is 11 am Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Merritt presiding. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, Portage Twp., Wood County.
Memorials contributions are suggested to Heartland Hospice or any Humane Society.
