Rogelio R. "Roy" Perez

Rogelio "Roy" Perez, 75, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.

He was born Feb. 13, 1948, in Harlingen, Texas, to Florencio and Eustolia (Ramirez) Perez. He married Kathleen R. "Kathy" Reinhart on Dec. 10, 1988, and she preceded him in death Nov. 17, 2023.

Roy's survivors include three daughters, Tana Anderson of Fremont, Vanessa (Aki) Fueda of Georgetown, Kentucky, and Tracy (Eric) Fourtner of Bloomville; 13 siblings, Raquel, Rosaura, Rebecca, Rosita, Irene, Cristela, Esmeralda, Gilberto, Maria Alicia, Norma, Helena, Christina, and Florencio; 17 grandchildren; and great-grandchild, Kyson Anderson.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Roy graduated in 1969 from Fremont Ross High School and with an Associates degree from Terra Tech. He served in U.S. Army from December 2, 1965 to August 6, 1971. He retired from the maintenance department at Fremont City Schools after 30 years. Roy enjoyed being at home, watching his grandkids, and loved his wife, family, and dogs.

Roy's funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424, with the Rev. Thomas Abraham officiating. Burial will be at a later date at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation for friends and family will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, at the funeral home.
