Ronald E. Aurand

Ronald E. Aurand, 79, of rural Sycamore, died at 6:13 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2025, at home. He was born July 24, 1946, in Columbus, to Wallace and Elizabeth (Cauldron) Aurand. He married Connie (Hendricks) Aurand, August 3, 1968, and she died May 30, 2012.

Surviving are the following children, Thomas (Halle) Aurand, rural Sycamore and Cyndie (Doug) Miller, rural Bloomville. Also surviving are five grandchildren, LeAnna Yeazel, Devon Aurand, Shay Lear, Atlee Miller and Landon Miller; plus three great-grandchildren, Watson Yeazel, Laykelyn Lear and Gemma Lear.

Ron was a retired laborer at Timken, Bucyrus, having worked there for 37 years.

He was a 1965 graduate of Mohawk High School, a member of Mohawk Young Farmers, a member of Sycamore American Legion Post No. 250 and a member of IOOF Lodge No. 174, Melmore.

For hobbies, he loved to work outside doing things around the farm, going to auctions and loved going out to eat. He also served six years in the Ohio Army National Guard Reserves.

Memorial service for Ron will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with Pastor David Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, at the funeral home prior to memorial service.
