Ronald A. Crawford

Ronald A. Crawford, 71, of Cygnet, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at home with his family near his side.

He was born Sept. 11, 1951, in Bowling Green, Ohio, to Merle and Marian (Swartz) Crawford. He married Linda S. Hutchinson on April 22, 1972, in Wayne. Ronald and Linda had four children and celebrated over 50 years of marriage together.

In addition to being a farmer, Ronald worked over 30 years as a Manufacturing Engineer for Atlas Crankshaft, later retiring from N.S.I. in Fostoria. Among his passions were raising Southdown Sheep, farming, and snowmobiling. He was an avid sports fan of Cleveland Browns and Detroit Red Wings. His family recalls Ronald being a wonderful story teller, as it was his family that remained his greatest joy, especially his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

In addition to his wife Linda, Ronald is survived by his children, Tanya (Gary) Chamberlain of Bowling Green, Craig Crawford of Cygnet, and Justin (Jess) Crawford of Cygnet; grandchildren, Logan, Levi, Lorna, Ethan Crawford, and Georgea Sookiayak; brother, Jerry (Linda) Crawford of Bowling Green; sister, Judy (Rod) Roth of Bowling Green; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Jason Crawford.

Family and friends will be received 2-7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, at Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville. Ronald's funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022, at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday. It was Ronald's request that casual attire be worn at either event. Interment will be at Weaver Cemetery, North Baltimore. Officiating will be Pr. Rosanne Kalinowski.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form of contributions to American Cancer Society (pancreatic Cancer).
