Rose Marie Brickner

Rose Marie Brickner, 97, of Tiffin, died at 1:19 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at Autumnwood Care Center of Tiffin, to join her family.

Rose was born May 18, 1928, in Tiffin, to Joseph Edward and Ida Catherine (Sheibley) Klopp. She married Mark Q. Brickner October 22, 1955, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and he died April 15, 2007.

Survivors include a daughter, Shelly A. (Michael D.) Riedel of Tiffin; three grandsons, Chad Brickner-Latham, Adam Q. Collier, and Aron Collier; a stepgrandson, Shane Riedel; two great-granddaughters, Olivia Holmer and Sophia Collier; many nieces and nephews; and three sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughters, Gail M. Brickner and Karen L. Brickner; and a sister, Mary Jane Romay.

Rose attended St. Joseph Catholic School, was a 1946 graduate of Calvert Catholic High School, and graduated from Minnick Beauty College Mansfield in 1946-1947. She worked at Lady Fair Salon in Tiffin for 20 years, and then she retired as a cosmetologist and hairdresser at St. Francis Home for 31 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Altar Rosary Society, VFW 2858 Ladies Auxiliary, and she loved to bake and cook for the club and friends.

There will be no visitation.

A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m.Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Jesse Chick officiating. The rosary will be recited 30 minutes prior to Mass. Entombment will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens Mausoleum. TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883.
