Roseann L. Mayer

Roseann L. Mayer, 80, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday evening, June 17, 2025, at Mercy Health - St. Rita Hospital in Lima.

She was born March 3, 1945, to William H. and Louise R. (Reinhart) Brose. On August 5, 1967, she married James A. "Jim" Mayer. They met at Meadowbrook Park at a ballroom dance in Bascom.

Roseann was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a 1964 graduate of New Riegel High School. She was very involved in her children's school activities, chaperoning various events and making crafts; she was a den mother for Cub Scouts and a Tiffin Calvert mat-mat-maid advisor. Roseann volunteered at St. Joseph Festival for years. She enjoyed playing euchre and Skip-Bo, gardening and working in her flower beds, making cakes, and camping with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Jim Mayer II of Tiffin and Dan (Selena Taylor) Mayer of Findlay; daughter, Brenda Mayer of Tiffin; brothers, Frank (Donna) Brose of Tiffin and Andy Brose of Sycamore; and very special people in her life, Gabe (Destiny) Wagner and their children, Sterling, Stella and Stacy, Steven Kauffman and Ethan Kauffman.

In addition to her husband, Jim, and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian Mayer; brothers, infant William Brose, Virgil Brose, Herman "Pete" Brose, Paul Brose, Jacob Brose, and Bernard Brose; and sisters, Anna Waltermyer, Lucille Smith, Inez Kerlin, Jeannette Lucius, and Alice Lucius.

Friends may visit with family from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Her Funeral Mass will be at 12 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
