Ruth Covert Obituary
Ruth Marie Covert, 79, of Republic, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at her residence.
Ruth was born September 11, 1945, in rural Green Springs to the late George Ernest and Hazel Meisner. She married Thomas R. Covert in Cooper on June 30, 1963, and he survives in Republic.
Other survivors include her two sons, Richard (Karen) Covert of Tiffin and Steven (Janice) Covert of Clyde; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Ruth worked at St. Francis Convent and Eaton Singer Corporation. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Republic, Farm Bureau, and graduated from Thompson High School in 1963.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Douglas Covert; a grandson, TJ Spencer; two brothers, Paul Meisner and Earl Meisner; and a half sister, Mary Culbertson.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Clyde at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
