Ruth Downs Obituary
Ruth Ann Downs, 83, of Tiffin, passed away at 5:36 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
Ruth was born May 3, 1939, in Jewell, to the late Bernard C. and Lillian L. (Keller) Michaels. She married Richard Downs on June 12, 1976, in Tiffin, and he survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include her children, Jeff (Shelly) Bogner of New Riegel, Rodney (Stacey) Bogner of Tiffin, and Dean (Dani) Bogner of Tiffin; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Borer of Tiffin.
Ruth retired from Pettibone/Tiffin Parts and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tiffin. She was a member of Tiffin Art Guild and Allen Eiry. Ruth attended Tiffin University.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles and Jim Michaels; and sister, Louisa Brickner.
There will be a graveside service at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. There will be a private family visitation at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or National Kidney Foundation. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.shookfamilyfh.com.
