Ruth A Holbrook

Ruth A. Holbrook, 74, of Tiffin, passed away Friday evening, Dec. 6, 2024, at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.

She was born Aug. 28, 1950, in Tiffin to Gaylord and Dorothy Rosemary (Elchert) Webb. She married Virgil A. Holbrook on Jan. 3, 1970, and he preceded her in death Oct. 19, 2020.

Survivors include a daughter, Tracy (Larry) Hemminger of New Riegel; sister, Millie (Joe Holcomb) Jackson of Tiffin; brothers, Freddy and Eddy Webb of Tiffin; three grandchildren, Levy (Makaila) Hemminger, Spencer (Luc Duffey) Hemminger and Hunter (Edward Ardner) Hemminger, all of New Riegel; great-grandchild, Scarlet; and son-in-law, Kevin Mitsch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters, Delta Holbrook and Donna Mitsch; brothers, Bob and Bill Webb; and an infant sister, Mary Catherine Webb.

Ruth was a member of The First Church of The Nazarene and a 1970 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She worked at Ameriwood for over 25 years, later retiring. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, gambling, and going to the casino. She was an avid collector of Tiffin Glass and a passionate Michigan football fan.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at The First Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Lois Moranville officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
