Sharon Anne Unger

Sharon Anne (Carder) Unger of Tiffin Ohio, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 7, 2022. A 57-year resident of Tiffin, she was born in Charleston, West Virginia. The daughter of Faye Kathryn (Pauline) and Gordon Russell Carder, she was a graduate from Nitro High School Class of 1960.

After her graduation, she worked for a number of years at Charleston National Bank and upon moving to Tiffin, worked in the banking industry her entire career throughout Tiffin and Old Fort.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband John M. Unger of 58 years, sister, Paddy Sue (Carder) Gay (John) of Huntington, West Virginia, a sister Shirley (Carder) Cunningham, of Charleston, West Virginia, "The Second, Fun Mom" to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and many close friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas A. Carder, Sr. of Orange Beach Alabama and many brother-in-law's and sister-in-law's. A friend to all creatures great and small - including a feathered son, "Squeak" -a very special house sparrow. Sharon was known for her kind, caring heart and her willingness to jump in and experience life! In addition to needlework and quilting she also enjoyed reading, traveling (especially Southwestern United States) and puttering around in her flower beds.

A private, family service was held for Sharon at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to; The Allen Eiry Senior Center, Seneca County Humane Society or The Tiffin / Seneca Public Library.
