Shawn McGinty Obituary
Shawn P. McGinty, 32, of Bucyrus, passed away at 7:13 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, at his home.
Shawn was born Dec. 31, 1989, in Tiffin, to Leroy McGinty and Susan (Stover) Windsor. He married Preston D. Zornes on Jan. 29, 2021, in Tiffin, and he survives in Bucyrus.
Other survivors include five brothers, Chris McGinty of Cleveland, Chad (Veronica) Windsor and Jason (Kara) Windsor, both of Tiffin, Scott (Kayla) Walker of Georgia, and Dillon Soals of Fostoria; six sisters, Aimee (David) Wiles of Bascom, Jenny Walker of Tiffin, Mandy (Frank) Hardy of Forrest, Shannon McGinty of Fostoria, Colleen (Joe) Gonzales of Jerry City, and Rachael (Jeremy) Bethel of Dunkirk; three dogs, Otis, Frank, and Nibbles; and many nieces and nephews.
Shawn worked at Renaissance in Tiffin and was known for his style. He was a 2008 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School and enjoyed cooking, baking, kayaking, camping, vacationing, and his dogs. Shawn will be remembered for his sass and wittiness and for just being the life of the party!
Shawn was preceded in death by his father; and dog, Butters.
Shawn's funeral will be 12 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. There will be no burial at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made to your local humane society. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.shookfamilyfh.com.
