Shirley A. Culver

Shirley A. Culver, 88, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday morning, June 13, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

She was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Tiffin, to Raymond V. and Thelma M. (Feasel) Hippler. She married Harold M. Culver on Dec. 11, 1955, and he preceded her in death Aug. 24, 2005.

Shirley's survivors include her sons, Steven "Mike" (Penny Burge) Culver of Greensboro, North Carolina, Harold T. "Skip" (Diane) Culver and Randy Culver, both of Tiffin, and John (Anita) Culver of Oaks, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ohlen Hippler and Raymond V. Hippler; sister, Nancy Beamer; and one great-granddaughter.

Shirley was a 1953 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and was the office manager at Tiffin YMCA from 1975 until she retired in 2004. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Tiffin Emblem Club #62, Tiffin Women of the Moose, Eagles Auxiliary #402, and Allen Eiry Senior Center. Shirley enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Guardians, going on bus trips, casino trips, and playing Bingo.

Shirley's funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424, with the Rev. Karsten Snitker officiating. Entombment will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens.

Visitation for friends and family will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Allen Eiry Senior Center or Humane Society of Seneca County.
