Shirley A. Hanson

Shirley A. Hanson, 94, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Bridge Home Health & Hospice Care Center at Birchaven Village, Findlay.

She was born June 23, 1930, in Bettsville to R. Dale and Agnes R. (Yost) Channels. On July 16, 1948, she married Paul H. Hanson in Greenup, Kentucky.

Survivors include her daughters, Deborah (Dale) Treier of Findlay and Paula Harrison of Maumee; four grandchildren, Shawn (Katrine) Treier of Crace, Australia, Jen (Eric) Vroonland of Dallas, Texas, Brent (Eliana) Harrison of Santiago, Chile and Kelly (Jim) McNellis of Waterville; seven great-grandchildren, Tatum and Evan Vroonland, Riley and Brooklyn McNellis, Xavier and Louis Treier and Alessandra Harrison; and sister, Linda (Gene) Miller of Tiffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Paul Hanson; brother, Dale Channels; sisters, Carolyn Goodman and Lois Harrison; sister-in-law, June Channels; and brother-in-law, Clifford Goodman.

Shirley was a 1948 graduate of Bettsville High School. She was a bookkeeper at Bettsville Elevator, Craun Transportation, D & A Home and Seneca County Commission on Aging. Shirley was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Allen Eiry Senior Center, Golden Threads of Fremont Hospital and Senior Community Center of Kiwanis Manor.

Friends may visit with family from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-2424. Burial will be private at Pleasant Union Cemetery.

The family would like to acknowledge the staffs at Birchaven Village and Bridge Hospice for the excellent care they provided our mother.
