Shirley Mattson Obituary
Shirley A. Mattson, 84, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023, at her home.
She was born Sept. 5, 1938, in Bloomville, to Andrew and Marie (Thiery) Eigel. She married George Mattson and he preceded her in death Nov. 25, 2003.
Shirley's survivors include her son, Denny (Patty) Mattson of Republic; daughters, Roxanne (Mark) Turner, Amy Mattson, and Cindy (Jeff) Drum, all of Tiffin; sister-in-law, Linda Schultz; eight grandchildren, Angie, Casey, Mandy, Logan, Shannon, Lindsay, Chad, and Janelle; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenny Mattson; and sisters, Jean Dunn and Millie Macielewicz.
Shirley was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and former member of Eagles #402. She was very social, enjoyed being a home body, going out to eat, trips to the casino, and was a great mother.
Funeral Mass will be 12 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Right to Life, St. Joseph Catholic Church, or Southern Care Hospice.
Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting family with arrangements.

I remember Shirley calling me to say she got a job, I asked where at she said you'll never guess, she went on to tell me she was going to be a cook at Heidelberg college, I said Oh no Shirley the people are going to starve. We laughed so hard, I'll miss you Shirley, rest in peace, love you Mike
