Tama Jo Hacker

Tama Jo Hacker, 66, of Sycamore, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, at her residence after a five-year battle with cancer.

She was born April 15, 1958, in Tiffin, to Arthur "Bud" and Isobel (Bland) Burroughs, who preceded her in death. Tama married Gerry W. Hacker on July 24, 1976, in Bloomville, and he survives in Sycamore.

Tama's other survives include her son, Jason W. Hacker of Sycamore; daughter, Kacy (Randal, her favorite son-in-law) Leeth of Sycamore; two grandchildren, Blayc of Bowling Green and Cole of Sycamore; and sister, Debra Burroughs of Tiffin.

Tama worked as a Lab Tech for Diamond Wipes Incorporated in Bucyrus and worked several years at the Corner Restaurant in Bloomville. She was a 1976 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. Tama was a hard working woman and got along with everyone until you ticked her off and then you would know it. She would also answer to her grandson, Cole, as "Red." Tama enjoyed gardening, her flowers, sitting on the deck looking at the pond, fishing, going to casinos, sewing, watching the grandchildren's sporting events, and hanging out with her best friend, Gayle, and cousins, Dee and Darren.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Findlay Bridge Hospice, especially Sarah, for their exceptional care giving to Tama during this difficult time.

Tama's service will be private for family at Pleasant View Cemetery in Bloomville.

Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, Bloomville, is assisting family with arrangements.
