Terry Vitt Obituary
Terry B. Vitt, 76, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital.
He was born August 6, 1948, in Fostoria, to the late Edward and Eula (Ritter) Vitt. He married Nikki Lynne Knisely January 15, 1987, and she survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jody Vitt, Fostoria and Tami (Chris) Judge, Johnstown; grandchildren, Jack, Josh, Bridget, Steffan, Zack, Alyssa, Charlie, Estella, Harlan, Luxley and Steffan Jr.; brother, Dan (Jeannie) Vitt, Fostoria; and a sister, Nancy Little, Fostoria.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Tom, Mike, Dennis, Shirley and Carol.
Terry was a lifelong truck driver. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, mowing, being outside, nature, but most of all, loved his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Bascom Community Church.
A special thank you to family and friends, Fostoria Community Hospital doctors and nurses and Heartland Hospice staff for taking such good care of Terry.
Terry's celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Bascom Community Church, 5660 W. Tiffin Street, Bascom, Ohio 44809. Following the service, a luncheon will be in the church basement.
Memorial contribu-tions are suggested to Bascom Community Church.
Arrangements are being handled by MANN-HARE-HOENING FUNERAL HOME 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830.

Nikki & family, Terry was the greatest guy. He would give you a shirt off his back. He kept our church lawn so pretty. No weeds dare grow there. He was always one of the few you could count on to be there to help. He will be missed in my heart. Have not seen him for a while but always had a smile for me when I did. Deb and I are so sorry to hear of Terry´s passing. He and Nikki were such good friends and a real blessing to the ministry of the church. Terry and I would often go on visitation together to the nursing homes and hospital as well as home visits to shut-ins. He believed with strong faith of getting close to God by "doing to the least of these ..." so many will remember Terry with fondness as he dedicated his life to serving Christ and His church.
