Theresia Reedy Obituary
Theresia "Terry" Reedy, 83, of Republic, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Born September 6, 1941, in Elek, Hungary, Terry was the daughter of the late Veronika (Forester) Engelhardt and Adam Engelhardt, both of Denkendorf, Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Adam, Josef, and Albert Engelhardt, all of Germany.
Terry is survived by her loving sister, Monika Bartsch; her devoted children, Anita Reedy, Sylvia Thompson (Kevin), and Bill Reedy (Lisa); seven cherished grandchildren, Sasha Raitz(Shaun), Tana Larick(Marcus), Adam Reedy(Bill), Alex Reedy, Tyler Pine(Natalie) Ariana Thompson(Eric), Drew Thompson(Shiloh); nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
She retired from Hayes Albion and Progress Plastics, where she was known for her strong work ethic and kind spirit. Outside of work, Terry found great fulfillment in crocheting, cooking, gardening, and especially in caring for her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday, September 6, 2025, at Republic American Legion. All who knew and loved Terry are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice in Terry's memory.
She will be remembered for her strength, love of family, and the warmth she brought to every life she touched.
