Timothy Davidson Obituary

Timothy E. Davidson

Timothy E. "Tim" Davidson, 64, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones.

Tim was born Oct. 2, 1959, to John B. Davidson and Jacqueline (Malone) Davidson. He married Joan E. (Risley) on June 23, 1979, in Sycamore.

Tim's survivors include his wife, Joan Davidson of Tiffin; three daughters, Mindy (Izaak) Walton of Tiffin, Kim Davidson of Utica, and Kate (Devin) Tiell of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Ava and Luke Walton and Lane and Colton Tiell; three brothers, John (Deb) Davidson Jr. of Bloomville, Robert Michael (Ann) Davidson of Tiffin, and Ronald (Dawn) Davidson of Tiffin; sister, Linda (Robert) Yeater of McCutchenville; sister-in-law, Julie (Joe) Thomas of Upper Sandusky; brother-in-law, Mark (Diana) Risley of Caledonia; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepmother, Louise (Jacoby) Davidson.

After graduating from Mohawk High School in 1977, Tim worked at National Machinery for 19 years before dedicating 24 years of his life to Mohawk Local Schools, retiring as Maintenance Supervisor. He also served as a Seneca County Township Trustee for six years.

Beyond his career, Tim spent many years coaching and volunteering at the McCutchenville Ball Park until becoming varsity assistant coach of Mohawk's softball team. One of his proudest moments is being part of the 2003 state softball championship team.

Tim also found immense joy in his hobbies. As an avid outdoorsman, he had a passion for farming, hunting, and fishing. You could always find him working on his tractors in the shop or back at the pond in the summer. One of his favorite pastimes was visiting the cabin with his loyal companion, his dog, Fred.

Tim cherished the time spent with many family and friends. He always looked forward to Wednesday "Church Service" at Shellhouse Repair and Thirsty Thursday, which were weekly events that he rarely missed.

Nothing brought more joy than spending quality time with his grandchildren. Whether it was riding the side-by-side, teaching them how to fish, or watching them at their sporting events, he treasured every moment with them.

The family would like to thank the staff at Tiffin Mercy Oncology Department for excellent care over many years and the current staff at Bridge Home Health & Hospice of Findlay.

Tim's celebration of life will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Mohawk MCI Building with Pastor Ron Davidson Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, McCutchenville. Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Thursday at the MCI Building.

Memorial may be made to Mohawk Elementary School, Hopewell-Loudon Elementary School, or Bridge Home Health and Hospice of Findlay in care of Walton-Moore Funeral Home, P.O. Box 350, Sycamore, Ohio, 44882.

Joan my thoughts and prayers are with your family during this part of the journey. It is a hard time but remember he will live forever in your hearts and continue to be with you as you continue on the rest of your journey. Reach out if you can use someone to talk to or someone to just listen.
