Timothy McCool Obituary

Timothy D. McCool

Timothy D. McCool, 63, of Tiffin, passed away at 11:59 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, at his residence.

Tim was born June 1, 1959, on the United States Air Force Base in Wimpole Park England to the late Tom D. and Dorothy (Timmons) McCool. He married Kathy (Kraft) on May 15, 1992, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Tim's survivors include his wife, Kathy McCool of Tiffin; son, Mason (Carmen VanWalsen) McCool of Columbus; two daughters with his first wife, Cathy Morris of Tiffin, Breena (Chris) Lofquist of Carey and Bracy (Jarod Urban) McCool of Grove City; three grandchildren, Della, Rowan, and August; two sisters, Mary (McCool) Frisch and Michele McCool, both of Tiffin; and niece, Jaime Frisch of Columbus.

Tim worked at American Standard for 30 years and later retired from Home Depot and was a 1977 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. Tim was a member of Tiffin AmVets and enjoyed playing golf, cards, fishing, antiquing, going to auctions, and traveling with family and friends. Tim made everyone feel like a friend with his compassion, kindness, and great sense of humor. He loved his family unconditionally, fiercely, and without hesitation. Tim was a superhero to his children and grandchildren. He was always there for them through their ups and downs and taught them to laugh and enjoy every moment life has to offer.

Tim's celebration of life will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, with Deacon Dick Giaetto officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow services Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Thoughts and Prayers to the Tim Mc Cool Family during this most difficult time. May the love of Jesus and All of Tim's Family and Friends comfort You. I've known Tim most of my life due to my brother. He will be missed in so many ways. His smile, his laugh, the funness, his attitude, the stories shared and just his presence. I will forever miss and cherish our yearly golf outing. The play, jokes and laughs, the talks, sharing of the families, ribbings, the stories from the past and just being together for that moment in time. May God Bless You All.
